Downpipe-running friends,
Do you know the size of the turbo flange on our cars? I continually see a metric posted that MY2015+ with EWG use 4" connections. Would a 3.5" flange fit, or is that directly related to the aforementioned 4" figure?

You need he 4 inch version for the m235i or any 2013+ n55 (I think that is the date range).

Have you guys been transferring the gasket from the output end of the cat over to the downpipe? I was looking up the clamp part numbers to order some spares and noticed that the funny gasket that is stays with the cat is part of the intermediate pipe to cat clamp. I am thinking about popping the joint to transfer the gasket to the downpipe. Just wondering if it is worth it? Thanks

Manufacturing date of 8/2013 or newer is 4". All M235i are 4" Some M135i are 3.5" though. |

you can transfer gasket, but might make sense to pickup a new one if you want a solid seal without any guessing.

It seems like they miss this one in the few instruction sheets that are out there. I am almost afraid to break the joint to install it as I think it is sealed up pretty well.

I am having some trouble getting that Vband to fit on the turboside. Its pretty tight.
Any tips? I started by tightening the rest first towards the flexjoint, the manifold -> DP is very near but still cant press it. Did you guys use a grip or something or do I have small arms? Edit three days later. Ok. So I did it in two ways: 1)I got a bigger bolt and just pressed with my hands around both the DP and turbo, tightened it up. Worked. 2)Talked to a mechanic, he had a tool, used the original bolt and used his tool to press the v-band. For future reference if anyone googles this Last edited by beMtroubleYou; 08-18-2017 at 04:46 PM.. |

I got a JB4 and BMS intake on mine m235i. Do I need to add the "CEL delete device" to remove the CEL? As I see on VRSF website has the option for the "CEL delete device". Thanks

We sell the same downpipe fix as the other one that’s available. It works when correctly installed but we recommend using your tune to delete the light if you can.
