m6 paddles on m235i?
I've heard a few members convert their F30 paddles to m6 ones, and was wondering if it could be the same for our cars? I personally like the m paddles better than the stubby ones ours comes with.

How hard was it to do? I'm assuming the whole steering wheel had to come off?

I had old style m sport wheel so upgraded to new m sport wheel when I changed my paddles and also fitted M4 trim to the steering wheel
http://www.babybmw.net/viewtopic.php...addles#p831179 Mines the blue car in the thread in the post above. Process is easy enough 1. Remove earth lead from the battery 2. Remove airbag - very easy on new style wheel but a PITA on the older style wheel 3. Remove steering wheel 4. Remove trim - easy - to access bolts holding paddles in place 5. Disconnect paddles from loom - easy 6. Remove 1st paddle and replace with new M3/M4 paddles [direct swap] or if using M5/M6 paddles you have swap over the M paddles onto your existing paddle body - means remove paddle hinge pin swapping paddles and putting pin back in 7. Repeat #6 above for the second paddle 8. Connect both paddles to loom 9. Put trim back into place 10. Re-install wheel 11. Refit airbag 12. Reconnect battery Go have fun with new paddles !!! BP

Does this mean that we could get away with just buying the paddles and not the full body?

Best source of reference for part numbers is Realoem. For example here's what I found for M6 paddles item 5.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_3013 By clicking on actual part number it will also tell you what other vehicles use same parts - confirming M5/M6 paddles are the same. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=61317847210

M4 ones the same part number? 61317847210
As it seems like the m4 ones are easier and cheaper to switch over... As it's the same steering wheel

No M4 paddles are easier as they are a straight swap

it`s a difference of 5 minutes labour. so if there is a chance to get m5/m6 paddles cheaper, then go for them!
