FABSPEED MOTORSPORT | M235i Muffler Bypass Exhaust System
We were asked to make an M235i louder, so we made it louder. Introducing the Fabspeed Muffler Bypass Exhaust System. Simple, but very effective. How’s it sound? Amazing. The crackling and burbling of the N55 engine is greatly accentuated and the occasional loud gunshot backfire erupts forth. Make no mistake, this is an aggressive exhaust. Initial response to driving it: laughing because it’s so good. Worried about drone? Don’t be. Our development M235i was equipped with our Sport Cat Downpipe and it was very reasonable. There was a barely discernible resonance, but a phone conversation could easily be had without any inconvenience. The Muffler Bypass Exhaust System was designed to vastly improve sound, shed significant weight, and spice the aesthetic of the rear end. Power gains averaged around 1-2whp at certain RPMs, but you can expect to shed 14lbs with our system, so you won’t have to feel guilty about eating two burritos in one sitting anymore; we don’t! Cutting of the factory exhaust system is required for installation, but reinstalling the factory system is very easy with the included Torca slip clamp. See this picture for a reference point on where you get to have fun with your Sawzall! Each system is built in-house here at our facility out of .065” wall T304L stainless steel tubing (3” tapering down to 2.5”) and comes with your choice of tips: We will be having an introductory special for 2 weeks at discounted pricing. See all the details in this thread. Additional information and photos are available on the product page on our website here. If you have any questions please let me know! |

How is ASD affected with this? Does it need to be coded off?

It is your choice if you'd like to disable it. We have left it enabled for all installs so far to embellish the straight pipe sound.

In the pic first shown on your post, the CF Tips look wider, fatter, and fill the opening more.
Are they in fact bigger than the other 2 tips offered? |
