Flash tunes + jb4
So during my research for best tuning options on my 15 m235i for pure stage 2 turbo and discussing with local tune shop, Cbtuning (they've done several successful m4 dme tunes) he's adamant about doing a flash but I've not heard a single success story for it. Has anybody had success? I'd love to see your map 6 and user adjustment tab. Are the m4 dme and m235i dme similar? I'll share as much as I learn during this here. This will be my dedicated upgrade thread.
Background for everyone: 15 m235i with er decatted dp, charge pipe with twin do7 meth nozzles, er fmic, army trix cbe, bms meth, jb4 stage 2 and intake. Ngk 5992 plugs gapped @.. 022 and fuel it stage 2 lpfp with e40 fuel. My current dyno dynamics numbers are 394.5whp/460 wtq and a 1/4 of 12.3 @ 115. Last edited by JibHonk; 09-14-2015 at 06:35 PM.. |

Start with Jb4 + stage 2 turbo first and then decide if you want more power

I am running a flash from ESS Tuning + jb4. As it was a mail-order tune its not running 100% so I will use jb4 as a "band aid" until I have time to have it re-flashed. I LOVE the throttle response of the flash - its almost telepathic. In Sport+ the car is complete animal and if you time it right you get some loud bangs on up shifts and on the over run.

Not had much luck with dme tune and jb4. Even dme tune only was not working. I think Harkes is also running stock flash again.
For me jb4 only works best and very good. |

I've got Ricardo from ACF Performance of Brazil flying in tomorrow afternoon to install port injection. As of now i've got him for install and jb4 custom mapping. Perhaps i'll discuss DME with him and see what he says.

OP's car managed 595whp (N55 WR) utilizing custom JB4 mapping via ACF Performance along side of a PDU PI Kit. Although available ACF did not flash OP's vehicle.
My personal car has been using an ACF ECU Flash stacked with a JB4 for a few months now. |

JB4 N55 F23 code clearing
Installing today, I know how to clear codes in my 335xi with the N54.
But how do you clear codes in the F-Series N55 set up? Thanks |

What map are you running with JB4 and ecu flash. Im enzo flashed and still use my jb4 but on map 4.

Depends on octane , iat etc etc what map you can run JB4 with a flash tune. Do a good log in map4 and map1 and post it on n54tech.com if you are not confident analyzing the log yourself.
