Custom axle-back (muffler delete) installed

Happy New Year everyone!

After reading numerous great posts here about exhaust mods, I decided to visit a local performance muffler shop in Gwinnett county to see what they could do. Their Yelp/Google+ reviews were very good, and they do a lot of work on BMWs.

I was originally going to purchase the $895 Fabspeed axle-back system and have the shop install it, but instead brought them pictures of same and asked if they could craft a replica. 2.5 hours and $380 later, I had a custom exhaust with larger burnt blue tips that sounds freakin' awesome! They neatly tucked the rear exhaust flap connector/wire under the bumper and out of the way as well. Once I settle on which catted DP to buy, I will be right back there to have them install it.

If you live in the metro Atlanta area and need exhaust work, go see Alan at Extreme Performance Mufflers. His custom work includes a 1-year labor guarantee. They don't have a website, hence no URL here. Oh, and BTW...bring CASH...because that's all he takes

I'll post links to some sound videos next week. Install pics are below.

Looks good. What is the setup? Is it just a pure muffler delete? Did you take out the resonators?

My frame of reference as far as pricing goes was the Fabspeed stuff, so to have the equivalent for less than half was acceptable to me. T-304, Mandrel-bent stainless and the custom tips...I'm OK with the price. To some, my perspective may have been skewed, but in the end I am very happy with the outcome.

The exhaust was cut in about the same location as would be required to install the aforementioned Fabspeed product. Nothing more was changed, resonator or DP. I would imagine it would be even more obnoxious w/o the resonator, but I'm not gonna try that.

It's supposed to dry out here in the next few days, so I'll get some sound clips.
I park in a high-rise garage at work, and boy did I get some looks this morning....

Interested in hearing the sound.. debating on deleting my muffler. Im currently running an Armytrix exhaust so i have dual runs from the collector near the DP. I think it would sound pretty aggressive. Looks like they did nice work... do you have an undershot after work was completed.?
