Talking Afe Power 52-76311 Bmw M2/M235/335/435 N55 Momentum Gt Cold Air Intake System

Unique One-Piece High Quality Housing w/ Auxiliary Inlet:
The smooth one-piece high quality sealed housing with auxiliary air inlet is used to eliminate the use of multiple-piece housings and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A large, clear sight window is used for a hassle-free filter inspection and an aggressive style. Unique Filter-to-Housing Interface.(US PAT 9440175)

Carbon Fiber Trim On Housing:
This Momentum GT intake system offers carbon fiber trim on housing to give that motorsport appearance. This cover overlay is constructed of lightweight high gloss, clear-coated 2 x 2 twill-weave carbon fiber

High Quality Tube:
This system uses a high quality, dyno-tuned intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit.

2 Large Performance Air Filters:
This Momentum GT intake system was designed around the largest filters possible. Each kit comes with two large 7-1/2" tall inverted top conical air filters: One constructed in our 5-layer progressive oiled media (Pro 5R) and the other made out of our 3-layer synthetic oil-free media (Pro DRY S).

Premium Hardware:
Premium stainless steel clamp is used for strength while also providing the most secure installation available. Momentum intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.

Note:
This intake system is not CARB exempt at this time and is not legal for sale in California or use on vehicles registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

Also Fits:

Nice gains, too!

It's just too bad they had to put all of that logo BS all over it. Really take away from a clean look that it could have, with just the impressions on the casting.

I hate knocking something that works well, but cosmetically, it's horrendous IMO. Is it just me? lol

Definitely the BEST aftermarket intake design on the market, period. Plastic piping to reduce heat soak, fully enclosed airbox with the exception of the opening for the OEM intake snorkel and an opening in the airbox to improve induction sound (just like the OEM M2 airbox I'm running on my M235), and the utilization of a cone filter.

The depicted gains look decent (~10whp/10wtq across the 5000-7000rpm powerband); however, I'm always skeptical of aftermarket vendor numbers. It appears that there were at least 4 dyno runs in stock from and at least a total of 9 runs (stock and with the airbox). Whose to say the stock numbers depicted aren't the lowest for all runs (run 4) and the airbox numbers (run 9) the best. It's a common aftermarket company ploy to exaggerate the numbers. Also, the Dynojet smoothing factor was "5" which can influence numbers by a decent amount.

I'm not saying there aren't gains, but the gains shown here are likely exaggerated a bit. Buyer beware and do your due diligence. That's all.

Any particular reason to upgrade from the AFE Magnum Force to something like this?

I recently installed an AFE Monentum intake on my 2015 m235i convertible.
It just barely fits with the chasis bracing of the convertible.
I would sware the throttle resopnse is better.
Happy with my purchase.
