One thing the OP should keep in mind is that the MP exhaust for the M235 is a bit louder than the MP exhaust for the M240. I wouldn't get the MP exhaust if I had a M240 (not worth the money for minimal sound improvement), but definitely for the M235. It sounds so good in comparison and far better under load low and moderate load.

A bonus to the MPE is that you may be able to recover the cost when you're finished with it easier than an aftermarket muffler. Results may vary.

I've been on this site since 2015. BMW there are plenty of posts about the MP exhaust for the M240 being a bit quieter. I've heard it first hand too. It's largely due to the fact that the M240 has a pre-muffler and a resonator in the midpipe vs a single resonator (and smaller resonator at that) used on the M235. In stock form, the M235 is a bit louder thanks to the lack of the pre-muffler.
