Will they build an M235is?

I'm curious to know if anybody has any thoughts on whether or not BMW might build an M235is to bridge the gap between the M235i and the M2? I'd like an M235is with a little more power but more importantly, a 7 spead double clutch.

No, the M235i already has a power bump for the N55 from the standard trim found on the 335i and frankly the ZF8 is a better all around transmission than the older 7 speed DCT.

If you want more power and the DCT you'll get an M2.

In all seriousness, I could see BMW dropping the "M" in M235 once the M2 comes out...

So maybe you have:

228
235(maybe an "is" towards the end of the life cycle)
M2

They put out the M550d with the M5.

BMW has been very clear about:

Regular production series
M-Performance series
M

With M-Performance bits available as options for all.
