Active ventilation

Ok so I used active ventilation for the first time today in sunny Florida and it didn't make the car any cooler. All it does is pump hot air from the outside in. I set it for 15 minutes and checked both check marks on top. Am I doing something wrong?

My understanding was that's exactly what it's supposed to do, bring in outside air. It doesn't run the AC or heat, just pull in ambient air from outside. But, given inside my car may be 125F+ in the Texas sun when it sits all day at work (with sunshade and tint), 90F+ outside air is cooler

Oh I see. Well it was not even in direct sunlight when I tried it. Plus I have no tint yet and no sunshade. Even though it's over cast it's still very hot and humid. I will try it again in sunny weather to see the difference in temperature inside. Thanks.

Ac is run off the engine so that all makes sense.
