Correct. You should negotiate an amount above one of these invoices, depending on your situation, plus invoice prices for any options. Invoice prices for 2015 options are available on Edmunds.

Locally, I'm getting 500 over invoice, 300 dealer processing fee, and a slightly padded tax/title fee. Even with all the fees locally, that beats the deal with David when you account for shipping costs.
Thanks for the info.

Generally those event rebates/discounts are not applicable on European Delivery. It's in the fine print. Which makes sense, they are already giving you a nice chunk off the top.

Looks like a good price on ED, but don't you have to pay to ship it back to the states? As far as the $300, I wouldn't even bother. They're already giving you a great deal and pushing it further might make them not want to deal with you.

No, shipment back to the states is included in the purchase price of the car.

Hey Scott - sort of related to this thread, do you know if you paid sales tax on the tags/title fee?

Is requesting "$500 over invoice" generally a reasonable negotiating standpoint as a buyer? Looking to lease a new 235i.

It says on my sales document

I'm always near Mount Washington because I live in Catonsville.

I just got an informal printout from them today and put down my deposit. But sure, I wouldn't mind taking a look sometime between now and October. I'll let you know the next time I plan to head out that way. And thanks.

Depends entirely on what you're after. It was worthwhile for me because I knew what I was willing to pay without being a d-bag and playing dealers off each other for a couple hundred dollars.

I'm financing, but in your case, with a lease you'd want to use that price point as the capitalized cost. That way your MF is on less money, which will lower your monthly payment. I think 500 over invoice is very reasonable. Maybe not an absolutely killer deal, but a very good one. The 2's just aren't selling in high volumes, so my impression is that dealers are willing to work with you right now. Also, I heard that ED's on the 2016s are no longer being taken out of dealer allocations. That usually means better deals.
