M235i would do with wider tires...

My M235i when in Sport+ mode (or simply with ATC on and drivetrain in Sport - heck, even in Comfort if I use kick-down feature) will break up the rear wheels' grip at a city speed (some 50 km/h) when I floor the gas pedal, even on a dry & clean asphalt. Thanks to LSD, it will continue straight line acceleration with only minimal steering intervention...

Now that can be a great fun, but don't you agree it should be leaving factory with a tad wider rear tires?

What is the maximum tire width the M235i will accept without any rubbing or bodywork - anyone tested?

On stock wheels they're pretty much taking the maximum advised tyre width. You'd probably be able to get comfortably by with a 255 PSS rear and 235 PSS front with no issues. But would probably want a 9.0 - 9.5" rear wheel with something like an et 45 offset and a 8.5 front with a 35 or 40 offset.

Some people have a 265 rear, but its with different brand tyres that fit "narrower" than what a pilot super sport would which negates the point. Especially when the compound isn't as good either. For street use the PSS is definitely one of the top contenders.

Wider tyres from factory will be saved for the M2.

Yeah - the stock wheels are also too narrow... Will probably think about buying new wheels/tires after my warranty expires, and I'm free to do the 425 PS ECU flash one of the Polish tuners offers. But would like to stay with 18"; what do you think of this setup:

Wheel model: 18X8.5″ ET45 Front and 18X9.5″ ET58 Rear
Tires: 235/40/18 Front, 265/35/18 Rear
