2 series cabrio safer for rear passengers than wrangler soft top?

I'm concerned about my kids' safety in the back of my 2015 Jeep Wrangler 2 door soft top, and I'd consider replacing it with a 2 series cabriolet if my kids would be safer. Opinions? For example, do any of the airbags protect rear passengers? Other considerations? Thank you!

The chances of you flipping the Wrangler are much greater than the chances of flipping the 2er just based on physics. Flipping any car without a roof that adds rigidity is not a good scenario.

In a rear end collision 2-Series or Wrangler? which vehicle is it easier to crash through?
IIHS rates Wrangler MARGINAL in rear crash test / not sure if that's passenger safety or repair cost in comparison to similar.

Side airbags for side collisions, standard on BMW, option on Wrangler.
Heard people say Wrangler isn't a good snow plow vehicle due to it's frame design.
2-series is compact.

I think just about any other new vehicle will be safer for your kids in a collision than a Wrangler.

As well for the driver who has very limited side impact protection. Part of kid's safety is keeping Mom and Dad around too!

All BMW cabrios have a Roll Over Protection System (ROPS). Behind the rear head rests are spring loaded roll-bars that that are triggered in a fraction of a second in event of a rollover or some other similar anomaly. As well the frame around the front windshield has been strengthened similar to a roll-over bar.

It is safety, and MARGINAL is the polite equivalent of death trap. NO car from europe got a score that low since the 70s

Thanks you guys. It seems like the hard top 2 series has airbags in the rear (HPS), but the convertible does not. Is that right?
