I'm pretty sure lots of owners would prefer faulty fuel pumps if they actually boosted the car's speed... |

My BMW has started stalling on a cold startup. It has always started on the second try.
I am going in on July 7th. I guess we will see if I need a new fuel pump. |

Perhaps you should retain a lawyer until your fuel pump gets replaced.

Mine almost stalled on startup the other day. Seems to be a cold start thing if i throw it into gear to quickly.
Gunna keep an eye on it and if it becomes regular I'm taking it in. |

Took mine in for stumbling and once in a while dying on cold startup.
Long story short, I have a new fuel pump and reprogrammed car. The car did store a flexray fault. |

So what is the deal? I know my car is in the affected production range (feb 2014) but no notice yet. Is there another criteria here?

The notices went out several weeks ago. Have your dealer check your vin for the recall.

I spoke with BMW USA today and the recall is vin specific. My build date was 2/20/2014 but evidently not involved.

I'm going to go and have them look mine up as soon as it hits the shores of the US and I pick it up. March 2014 build date. 228 though.

While it "vin specific" all F22 in the build range are suppose to be in the recall. I'd be very surprised that a January 2014 build is excluded.

I had mine replaced 2 weeks ago. Received the notice in the mail and had a new pump 5 days later. My new issue is what they believe is excess body sealant melting inside the hood, dripping and pooling at front of engine compartment. Dripped out and down headlights. They escalated and all I got was bmw was aware and no fix but to clean it and it should eventually stop. Not entirely pleased with that answer but willing to see if it continues.

I actually just called BMW and they said my VIN was not part of the fuel pump recall, so it must be VIN specific. I have a base model so maybe that has something to do with it.

I received the recall notice a month or so ago and now the car has started stumbling on cold starts. Will be booking mine in soon to take care of it.

Dropped my car off on Saturday and will be picking it up today.
Been driving a 328d around. I forgot to tell them not to wash the car. I'm hoping the swirls aren't too bad |
