Roof Rack

Hi all,

I will be looking to purchase a rooftop bin like a Thule for road trips for my 2018 M240i this summer but I, of course, need to find the right base rack system first. Thule makes good stuff and has the reputation but I am not married to using them.

What have others used? I want a system that will, obviously, not damage the finish but also give me flexibility to use a cargo box, bike racks, etc...though cargo box is the main priority.

I use the OEM BMW rack. It gets the job done but its not the cleanest looking and it makes a whistle noise that I was able to silence with putty. I think the flat Thule and Yakima rack would look better, but they cost significantly more. As for the box, I recommend Inno. The low profile boxes look great and attach with ease.
