Minor Scratches or Scruffs on Rims

Hello,

It seems I have got a few small scratches/scruffs on my rims - they are not too deep (less than 1mm depth), what products/procedures has anyone used to remove these type of scratches? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks.

If it goes through the paint/finish nothing can restore/remove it. Some waxes can fill but none can erase. If Klasse AIO doesn't make it go away then you need to find something that can discreetly fill the scratch/gap. Good luck.

Minor curb rash is a fact of life with these cars.
I just sand the rash area down with wet/dry sandpaper generally starting with 150 grit and then moving up to 220 and finishing with 400 grit for a fairly smooth finish.
Paint the sanded area with the right colour touch-up paint (I use the $9.99 Quiktouch B55 for mine - url below).
Let dry and apply a layer of clear coat - and Bob's your uncle..
It may not be good enough for the ultra anal retentive amongst us, but it's good enough for me.

For me the 2-series lipless wheels, if the scratches are minor then just leave them.

Bavarian Autosport sells a wheel touch-up kit that contains the proper abrasives, filler putty, paint, and clearcoat. Or you can call one of the wheel-repair outfits that can perform the repair with the wheel still mounted.

I got a little nick from a pothole last year on my 436's, the dealership actually had a pretty good deal at $100 to restore them to OEM finish but I just can't justify spending that much on such ugly wheels.

I avoid kerb rash like the plague (the swiveling passenger-side mirror is very helpful with this when reversing to park). If you do get it, there are services with guys who will come to your car and fill and finish it, charging per wheel.
