Ended up getting the exhaust + tips at Sun Motors.
After taxes and shipping, bmwpartspros costs more (which they did not include in their quote)

I know, I know. I thought I'd save $100 or so picking up the exhaust from bmwpartspros.

Just sent the payment over and he already provided the tracking number

yeah this seems right from what they quoted me. However as noted, tips are extra (about $80/ea) and it was a bit extra for the exhaust with the M Perf Diffuser.

roughly $950 all in before shipping/tax

Yeah that's pretty much where I was at...the $650 was right about the tipping point and then it went up to $750 and not really worth it anymore. Luckily I was able to snatch up a used one, with tips, for lower than the $650 price so it worked out.

Agree I just got the MPE and its somewhat disappointing (sound)...my e90 n52 MPE was way louder and that one wasnt that loud. We do this for sound and not the huge 2hp gain right?
Seriously, dont waste your money unless you plan on a down/charge pipe

I'm not disappointed in the sound at all, I think it's the perfect sound and I think others (non car enthusiasts) actually thing it's too loud...I've had comments from someone saying "Is your muffler broken"? I don't think they expect such an exhaust note from a BMW.

The MPE sounds very nice off-idle but I personally want a more aggressive sound and real performance gains. I think you can get that from an axle back system but you'll pay double the price.

the exhaust I really want is CG Precision exhaust. its for f30/32s . I would like to find see if it could be made to fit on a f22 , maybe some more systems will come out for the 235 soon and wont be as pricey!

I really might pull the trigger on a MPE just for the fact, this is my first brand new bmw Id like to keep it civilized for a while. I want to upgrade my jb4 to a stage 2 but the stage 1 allows such a quick install uninstall if needed its hard to justify it (besides the power increase lol). I like that fact, plus an intake can be removed in no time either. I was all about doing anything to my 2007 e92 especially after owning it for 5 years I wouldn't think twice, I just want to keep this car feeling like a new out of the factory car. In a year Im sure I won't care but for now idk!

So whats the diff between 1 vs 2?

Does the tune fix the turbo lag?
