Monthly or so wipes with those pre-packaged leather wipes used for furniture, and then application of Leather Master Leather Barrier, a liquid product. I never wear denim/blue jeans in this car and when I sit down (there was another thread on this recently), my natural landing movement places my butt in the seat and does not drag across the raised bolster surface.

I’m getting car ceramic coated in 2 weeks (Gyeon Q2 MOHs and Gyeon Q2 Durabead) which includes leather sealant so it will be interesting to see how that stands up.

Not familiar with those exterior coatings. Here, I've done Opticoat and covered the front with clear film - Xpel. As for the leather, whatever they apply will wear off with the friction of seating. The Leather Master product has apparently done a great job creating a dirt barrier. I would humbly suggest doing something like that anyway on a maintenance basis.

Awesome color and interior. No need to feel anything but joy for such a brave choice. I was torn between it and Estoril. Got the Estoril. Good Luck.

That was my same dilemma, and I made the same choice as you.

It's rare when I can't make a clear-cut choice, but even now I'm as torn between Estoril and Sunset as when I started shopping. Should've bought one of each.

I really wanted this color, but just couldn't wait for the 18's to come out. Damn sexy.

Nice build choice with the bonus of the moonroof delete! I've only seen this orange in person at night but I can only imagine how good it must look during the day with the sunlight bouncing off of it.

Yeah. The problem with sunset is you would have probably never got to see one in person before you ordered as it’s so rare, and dealers never really order it in that colour for their stock, even though their brouchure has the orange 2 series on the front and even the owners manual
I was just lucky to see it at a dealer. I think it looks better on the some cars, I don’t think it would look the same on a 1series.
I would have gone for estoril had sunset not been available. Although that colour is quite common now, not like when it was an “individual” colour choice, but still a lovely colour and I think that really suits the 1 series too, I’ve got a mate who wants an M140i and is torn between black and estoril.

Thanks, I’m not sure why Bmw would have a sunroof as standard and have an option to delete, seems a stupid idea. I’d be annoyed if I choose delete and they never deleted it. I’d get them to rebuild
I cant wait till the summer now to really show it off. I’ll say it again. The colour is amazing

I like the color, but dunno about the silver/grey side mirrors with that body color.
Too bad they don't offer color options for the side mirrors..
Body color or black may suit it better?

Just seen your “night drive” video on YouTube with the sunset orange “SHOULD HAVE WAITED”

I dont think they are that bad, although I have thought about carbon fibre, I think orange would be too much.

Have we found the edge of bravery?

Congratulations, nice looking car you got there! I'm picking up mine tonight but it's going straight to the shop to get some exterior mods before I drive it out!

Ha ha, those were standard on yours weren’t they?
I think the grey breaks it up a bit. I guess you don’t know until you try.

Only mods I think I may do are black grills and possible carbon fibre exhaust tips and mirrors, although I’m in no rush, getting it ceramic coated in 2 weeks, apparently will look even better then

No...they were gloss black from the factory. I had the dealer do the mirror caps and blue MSport brake calipers before delivery, so this was what I saw when I walked in the showroom for delivery day. In other words, I added this much more Orange on purpose!

Ha ha! Ok, you win on the bravery front, I hadnt noticed the orange calipers.
Well they have the Hex trim with estoril finisher. You could always see if they can do an orange version

Mine is a 230i xDrive - almost same specs as yours but mine is alphine white with black interior and m sport body kit.

I'm installing xpel before I drive it out. Also doing the tint and wrapping the roof in gloss black! I will take the keys tonight and sign papers but dealership is keeping it for another week to do all the work I requested.
