I HIGHLY recommend talking to Mikhail at Fields South Orlando. I talked to Melbourne, Winter Park, and South Orlando dealerships and South Orlando was the most willing to move on price.

I placed the order Feb 28th, and was delivered April 15th.

Fields Winter Park did not want to discount the car lower than ED MSRP for me. At first they also wanted to mark up the MF to the max, but I got them to lower it. I found someone willing to discount the car up north, and will be doing PCD as soon as my car comes back. I've had very bad experiences with Fields sales, but not their service.

I negotiated for a car there a few years ago, but didn't get far. I actually prefer to service my car there because it's more convenient to my house and I can actually get Saturday appointments.


The tint guy I've used before is across the street from them. I'm not sure if he is still there, but he was good.

Mine is on the Columbia Highway and they are hitting port in Baltimore this morning and headed to Brunswick, Ga (where my EB is getting off) for a Wednesday port before heading to Charleston. Dealer said 7-10 days from that point and it will be ready for pick up. There has only been one M235i sold in Jacksonville, they have only had one allocation for 2014 run.

It is almost here, sitting in port at Brunswick, Ga. CF mirror caps are here, and the spoiler and splitter will be delivered tomorrow. Dealer said 7-10 days for delivery, hoping it is on the low end of that.

M235i fully loaded, mineral white/coral red. Was waiting for production to start for 6 weeks, now the car has just left the port in germany. Hopefully will be here in 3 weeks. One question though - how to have parts installed at port? Should I discuss it with my dealer?

Yeah your sales rep should be able to get you any of the m-perf parts that can be port installed.

What is the difference between port installation and dealer installation? Do I miss anything? Price? Taxes?

If you lease, the parts can be residualized in your lease. If you purchased, I think the installation cost is much cheaper at the port, as they won't charge you per hour.

Either/or, if you have it dealer installed, you have to buy the whole part, even if you're leasing.
