Does anyone know the exact width of the inside of the cup holder (without insert)? I am trying to determine if an iPhone 6 dock that is round and 3.3" wide would fit. Trying to find a good docking solution where the phone is still in sight

We use them everyday at lunch for our coffee. We used them in the Porsche 911 too. I wouldn't by a car without them.

The section that actually holds the cup is 3" wide by 2.5" deep. It flares out after that toward the top but it's all aesthetic and provides no support.

Surprise my 2015 M235i CV did not come with it either. Bought it in Henderson Nevada (Vegas).

I normally use the left side for my silver BMW tumbler (with lid) and the right side for the iPhone (and key) sometimes if it doesn't make my pocket. I think I could live without the left insert but might find use for the right!

Wonder if the dealer would send them both?

Or anyone here still have the right one sitting in their garage?
