The way i positioned it is i don’t see the dash cam at all. Only the radar detector since it’s sitting below the rear view mirror for obviose reasons. Thanks for posting this - just did it over the weekend and aside from the slight PITA of getting out the cradle, this is about as easy as it gets.

I also took the opportunity while I was in there to pop off the CF tunnel trim and run a thin USB cable under it, into the underside of the console, and up through the hole where the charging wires go. From there I ran it under the new mat and into the USB slot there in the console. My Proclip phone mount is on the right side of the dash, so this gave me a much cleaner run for the cable to charge my phone. When not in use, the extra cable just tucks under the dash and out of sight, except for the actual connector. Since it's a gray cable it blends nicely into the rest of the interior. Very pleased with the results all around.

If you have some experience it can be don at home. for me it was about 2 hours job, the hardest was to remove some pins from a socket. It doesn't use the OBD socket, you have to install 4 wires at the FEM on the right side footwell. GND, PWR and CAN-High, CAN-Low. It also has an USB extension to upgrade and to modify the interface. You also have to trim the ventilation frame for the cables.

Not car related, but some of you may enjoy this;
I’m not a watch guy. I don’t even wear watches, BUT I got this thing as a birthday gift years ago.
Recently decided to get it repaired after sitting dead for 3-4yrs (needed a new capacitor) and get a winder for it to keep it in good shape.
It’s an automatic, #265/500, has carbon fibre, and a cool little ///M Power inscription on the rotor (exhibition back).
This isn’t a serious time piece, I brought it back from dead to have a corny bit of BMW fun that you don’t see very often. I also didn’t expect the winder to be so HUGE LOL

Dont Know yet.

I have had PSS on all my previous M cars. The reason I bought these now is because they win every test and beats both PSS and PS4S and other brands.

Will mount them in May when I take out the car from storage .
