This seems to be a very nice upgrade, is there any online store to buy the parts within USA?

Take the part number to a dealership and order them using the part numbers from the parts department. My suggestion is sun motors in Pensilvania. Ask to speak to Brian. They sell parts almost at cost and offer free shipping (at least m performance parts). So I would imagine for regular parts it would be the same.

Schmiedmann have them listed if you search by part number at a good price.

I checked with my local dealer and the parts are not available in the US yet. Anyone have luck here in the US obtaining the parts yet?

Has anyone done this outside of Europe. I more or less understand the wiring instructions but would prefer to follow English ones. The lights are available overnight here in the UK.

Thanks

This will be my first go at coding a car. I've watched a few tutorials online with E-sys looks pretty straightforward. Is it best to use a hardwired connection to the car's port or are these wireless adapters reliable?

Also my current M2 has the adaptive xenons, is it possible to upgrade to the adaptive LEDS?

61132359993 connector (you need 2 pieces)

Your dealer should be order it. Price is approx. 400 - 500 USD.

There are no blacklines available for the 2 series.

I contacted both of my local BMW dealers. Neither could give me a price for either labor or the part. They suggested that I stay with my original brake lights. Every time I contact BMW to do some work for me, they act as though they’ve never heard of what I’m calling about and suggest I change nothing because of some errors or whatever that will show up... kinda annoying.

For those of you who have changed the taillights, are you going to change the headlights too or is that just not of interest?

In this instance, I can understand why the dealer would not want to perform such work.

One, the two part numbers listed here are for RoW markets. These LCI tailights have amber turn signals. The US spec tailights have different P/Ns and red turn signals.

Two, it's one thing for a dealer to perform work on installing an aftermarket part like a cat exhaust, it's another asking them to swap out different model year OEM parts. Why would they want to swap out a non spec'd part, electronically code the module, and risk liability on a sensitive safety part such as a tailight? I would think no US BMW dealer would risk such work.

I believe someone mentioned the shape was different... but I want LCI headlights as well!

I'd rather have the lci headlights than the taillights myself - can't wait to see someone try that out and give us all the info on how hard it is, or if they just won't fit at all.

I love ambers. These look red but illuminate amber, correct? My 18 already has the new style lights so I imagine these are just plug and play for me.

For anyone looking for the US spec LCI lights- you can get them from Brian at Sunmotors BMW along with the adapters needed. The quote he gave me was the cheapest compared to any other website/eBay sellers. I installed mine no issues.

I'm assuming these amber lights are plug and play if you already have an LCI car?

Thanks for the confirmation amancuso! I'm in the market for an M240i and it could end up being an LCI or pre-LCI.....either way I would be swapping the tail lights with the amber turn indicator Euro LCI tail lights. While I knew the details of what was needed for a pre-LCI to LCI conversion, I couldn't find any concrete info on LCI to LCI conversion from someone who had actually done it. While it "seemed" like there wouldn't be any physical or coding mods needed, I didn't know for sure. It's great to get a confirmation from you since you have seemingly already done it!! Now I'll just have to see whether I end up with a pre-LCI or LCI M240i.
