M2 or M3/M4 Strut Braces
Just an FYI, ECS Tuning released a kit for the F22 and similar models to retrofit the M2 strut braces onto our cars.. They seem to think it fits, but i was looking at the mounting points and there are none. I initially ordered it to try it out, but they i did some more digging within the ETK parts diagrams, the M2 has additional brackets at two points that seem to be welded onto the strut tower, and another on the side frame.

Is retrofitting the M3/M4 strut brace, it has 3-4 phases depending on your available money funds... http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1234698 Phase 1: Strut Adapter Plates (+$75) Phase 2: Phase1 + Strut Mounts (M3/M4 style) + Aluminum Strut Brace (+$500) Phase 3: Front Carbon Fiber Strut (+$1200) Phase 4: M3/M4 Extension Braces and Diagonal Braces (+$450) Doesn't work with some Aftermarket airboxes (IE. Dinan.) The caveat with phase 4 is that the frame on the M4 has a additional bracket welded from the factory that supports the top end of the braces. So you need to get creative here. Great information from this post! http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1234698 |
