Talking MPE + VRSF Catless Downpipe

I just installed my VRSF downpipe this friday, i already had the MPE but i was missing a bit more sound so i decided to get the downpipe, it sounds brutal! lots and lots of pops and burble, no drone at all.... havent do a dyno run but i can tell the car feels faster, it accelerates quicker and it just keepsm pulling at higher rpms! if you have an axleback dont doubt getting a dp if you arent satisfied, get the vrsf, its a great bang for the buck

Just did the vrsf dp as well. When parked in sport and reving, it's really loud and gurgles. The best is when downshifting in s2 it backfires !!!

I wonder what's the gain, i read somewhere, 12whp and 20wtq.

Have fun and Enjoy !!!

Hi.

Where did you buy the DP and what's the part number ?

What are your impressions on the M Performance exhaust ? Is it worth the money ?

I also have a M235i.

Thanks.

I'm running the MP exhaust and catless DP as well. It's the perfect balance. Cold starts are amazing.

If I order a catless downpipe. I know the car will throw a CEL almost right away...

I have a JB4 installed which I can use to clear the code. However, with the catless DP, will the CEL recur and need to be continuously cleared? That would seem like a huge hassle...?

What have you guys experienced?

No the Jb4 will hide the code, you wont have to manually clear every time

So fabspeed and others claim no cel on a catted. Any catted downpipes that have shown no cel for long term use like 2 years or so that you are aware of? I'm planning to run Dinanatronics ( i know you wanted to hear jb4 ) I dont want a cel.

hey man, the MPE alone itself its good, its not loud but for some people is enough, for me it wasnt. But the combo of MPE + catless is amazing, it sounds much better than just the mpe alone or even a catless dp alone. Have driven it quite a lot since the install and no CEL for now.

With Wagner, Evolution Racewerks and Fabspeed you have a good chance to not get a CEL light .. Fabspeed even lower chance of getting a CEL because of the higher quality HJS cats that they use

That being said, no one can guarantee no CEL forever (not even couple years) ...No manufacturer would return your money or downpipe If you get a CEL light

Why would you get a tune that is meant to work on stock cats and use it with high flow cats? With Dinan you won't be able to take advantage of the extra power from the cats and risk getting a CEL

Hey mike,

No tune for now, thinking of getting later on racechip ultimate or jb4.

Since you have downpipes, look into stage 2 tune like JB4

How long have you been driving it without the CEL?

Around 2 weeks now. I do think i will end up getting the jb4, its cheaper and achieves more power with the downpipe, the only complication is the warranty.
