Hello everyone.

After many years of reading this forum I've finally joined, as yesterday I ordered my new M235i.

I'm thrilled to get exactly the build I want, except one small thing:

My salesman called me to say that the Aluminum Hexagon Trim with Estoril Blue Highlight is no longer available to order. Despite this, BMW USA still shows it on the configuration tool online.

Has anyone else been told this option is gone or would be going away? I'm obsessed with Estoril and was really excited to have an interior that matches my favorite color.

FWIW I had the EB with Aluminum Hexagon trim in my last F30 could not wait to get rid of it. The car was AW so I thought it felt a little out place. I have the black high gloss with brushed aluminum and I think it looks very upscale.

Go with the fineline wood. I like Estoril, but not so much in the interior.

Despite having an Estoril Blue exterior, I didn't think the EB interior accent looked good, so I went with Aluminum hexagon and gloss black. I'm quite happy with the result.

Ask your dealer if the gloss black that's avail in Canada is now a US option since it sounds like they are making changes. It looks really nice.

They must be narrowing down the choice somewhat.

I wanted brushed Alu with oxide finish, but I've been told the options available for my re-order are:

Wood Trim with Oxide
Brushed aluminium with black
or
High Gloss black with Oxide.

The configurators seem to lag behind the ordering system a bit, when I ordered my 5 I was told that Imperial Blue was no longer available, when it was still shown as a possible config for around a month afterwards.

I guess I am one of the few with an Estoril Blue exterior, Black Leather interior and the Aluminum Hexagon Trim with Estoril highlights that actually like the combo! If it is no longer offered, I would head over to the dealer and see what trims they have available to order, and see if they have them in any cars on the lot. I have found, especially wood trims, that the online pictures can be quite different to the product in person.

I liked the Estoril as well, but kept the brushed aluminum. Not for everyone I guess but I dig it.

I really like my blue highlights also.
