Did a brake fluid flush with Castrol React SRF Racing brake fluid and installed ECS Stainless Steel Brake Lines.
In case you didn't know, FCP Euro carries the SRF brake fluid, so you can pay for it once and do all the flushes you want for the price of shipping the spent fluid back. It runs about $65/1L normally.

Has anyone ever figured out how they make money doing this, at least with a product like Castrol SRF?

what i DIDN'T do to my 2 series today is install my m performance trim kit because the airline loss my check-in baggage with all the parts (and then some) in it. I've never had baggage gone missing and the one time it does, it had to be BMW (pricey!) parts. Certainly not a good way to start 2019.

I'm a bad man (is that good or really bad?)
What I did to my 230i w/ Dinan V2 was on my way home after about 15 minutes of commute time was to find a side street in a business park near my home, break out my iphone app to measure speed times and launch the boy from 0-to about 80. 0-60 time was 4.75 which for a 230i I thought was quite impressive (but we do have to consider the accuracy of the app). At any rate I had a big grin on my face when I pulled into the drive and a Manhattan to celebrate.

I put a down payment on my first BMW. It's a 2017 M240 Saphire Black / Coral Red with 522 total miles. Unfortunately it's far out of state for me. I'm off to do some research on shipping versus driving it home. PM me if anyone has any recent recommendations for shipping a car. I'll give a more formal introduction after I pick it up.

They're the same as these: https://autotecknic.com/collections/...-bm-0172-ds-cf However, I got them off Ebay for a little cheaper. |

During its monthly winter outing, I drove it for two hours to get the mechanicals and their fluids fully up to their operating temperatures. It's now tucked away on the CTEK charger for another three to five weeks.

Got forced into a curb by a wayward truck. Drifted into my lane - had to eat the curb or take the hit. Had to run down the truck and forced him to pull over. Called the police and exchanged info etc. Thursday appointment at the dealer for a check on any unseen suspension tweaks.
Car drives fine and tracks straight so hoping a new wheel and tire and forget about it. Update - nothing bent or damaged suspension wise - will need new wheel, tire and refinish rear wheel $1319.58. Last edited by WolfGTI; 01-24-2019 at 09:39 AM.. |

Did some Bimmercode tweaking
Discovered that coding will erase your presets; not sure if that's normal or not, but it is annoying to have to go back in and set up the preset buttons again.
So far everything seems to be working nicely, except for losing the preset buttons and having to reprogram them. One thing I noticed is that Bimmercode does not have settings for the Instrument Panel on the F22, probably because it's not a full digital dash? It would be nice to program it to keep the last settings for each drive mode, so I could switch from Comfort to Sport and back to Comfort and still have the trip computer showing what I had it set for previously. Edit: Verified with Bimmercode that losing your presets is normal, since the ECU is re-written with the coding.

Ordered some Optimum No Rinse, a grit guard, and a Griots PFM Drying towel. Also got my garage sealed up enough that a small space heater should keep it above freezing when the temps go back into the single digits over the next few days. Hopefully that will make the car happy at night!
