source https://www.bmwusa.com/limited-editi...k-shadow.html: DELIGHT IN THE DETAILS. Stand out from the pack. Exclusive Black Sapphire Metallic paint, matte black 19" M Performance Y-spoke wheels style 736M, and M badging make a compelling statement in this limited-edition M. |

I had to double check if I was reading it right. The original M2 is already BSM. In short BMW are going to charge more for the same thing people have been doing the upgrade them selfs for over a year. Am I missing something?

That's pretty good...what was sticker and did you have the corporate fleet discount?

The sticker was for 62k. No Corp fleet discount, just a repeat customer and a good haggler lol. Brought up the fact that I could wait for a m2c (don’t really care for the competition), and they worked out a deal. Number before taxes were around 57k

Looks cool, but basically just threw on some of the existing black parts that are available and called it a special edition. Pretty underwhelming to existing owners. But for someone that is looking at buying an M2 now, good option to have at least.

That is generally my thought, though it's nice to have another wheel option if you want one. Since I want a blue car, it's moot. That said, there's a local M3 with those black wheels installed at the port...it's a $5300 option. Good luck to them!

I never understood the point of some of these models. This black edition you basically take a BSM, buy black grill surroundings and side gills in black which both are roughly $300. Wheel set with tires I have seen for 4k and get the exhaust tips powder coated black or slap black ones on.
Same with the Performance Edition. Had the M Performance exhaust and coil overs, but also lost the electric seats and the Harmon Kardon. You bought an AW model and bought coils and exhaust and kept seats and HK and probably about 2-3k in your pocket.

Definitely a good option to have. I myself wouldn't buy it if it were marked up. The big deal breaker for me getting this car over the M2C was that the M2C had 10k markup and a 9 month wait. |

I tried the 718 and the 718s, great cars, do not like that its a 2 seater, and wanted a little more storage since I drive a lot with a big suitcase(s). I almost ended up with a used 13 Carrera S, but the payment was too high at 77k OTD. Figured if I really wanted a 911, I would get a turbo. All in due time I guess. Porsche in Las Vegas has a lot of demo cars, if you're looking for a good deal (especially a lease) and don't mind a couple thousand miles. |
