It's quite amazing. We just saw the 4er Coupe and most found it awe-inspiring. Just before we grasp the details and everything about it and start saying "who needs a 6er Coupe now!" now this 2er coupe appears! If it follows in the footsteps of the 4er Coupe design-wise with the dimensions and weight of an E46 coupe I can see us saying "who needs a 4er coupe now!!!!" Really BMW seems to start finding it's way design-wise and although the number of models keep increasing exponentially the nomenclature is very clear and structured unlike Audi's and MB's which is all over the place.

1M costed that much, no? BTW, I was referring to 2M. Considering 60K M3 base price, I won't be surprised with 50K base price. Just speculating.

M2 should cost about that much, but the M235i would obviously be significantly less.

What is the car in the foreground in the third picture. 4-Series?

So far the car looks shockingly like the E87. Granted BMW probably wants the test mules to look like that.

Can't wait to see what BMW does with the M2! I think this is what Jason was talking about in the other thread.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I'm interested in the new X4.
I'm even more interested in smaller lighter cars, like the 2er Coupe.

Market is full of big expensive heavy cars; while many would prefer a premium nimble, lightweight and agile car, there is not much choice. This 2er Coupe should provide a breakthrough.

Its aliiiive finally ive been harping over this for a year now and my f30 lease will be up around that time. Awesome. Glad to see its actually here! None of this 4 cyl talk. Seriously who really thought //M would make a 4cyl. That is just preposterous. Let the waiting game and dreaming about the m2 or even the m235i on the track begin!

Ahh, thats the front with those new headlamps where everyone thought is a new facelift for F20.

Makes sense that they tested them on it.

If the E30 and E30 M3 had both four and six cylinders then the F22 and F22M can logically do the same. I am told that M. Have done engineering wonders with the N20 based engine. Again it is the logic that applies - M3/M4 Coupe will have six cylinders and so M2 will retain four - M2 is just going to be a repeat formula of the 1er M Coupe but it will have additional weight reduction.

The M2 like the 1er M Coupe before it is not just about the numbers.

I sure hope an M2 Gran Coupe sees the light of day. It could be a moderately sized 4 door car, with a 300HP turbo 4, and weigh <3000lbs. Sounds like incredible fun!

I've actually been looking forward to the day I see spy shots of the 2-series. Reminds me of the days I followed the rumors and speculation of the 1er, eagerly waiting for the order sheets to become available.

Still regretting sale of my '08 135i to a fellow 1Addicts member, up until today I was back on the market for a lightly used 135i. Looks like I'll stay put in the commuter, save for the perfect ED M235i experience with the family.

This forum will be medicine to my car shopping addiction...something to wait for.

Please make me an e46 sedan sized m2 GC! I'd love to be able to order it in Imola Red, but would settle for Alpine White if I have to... And if no true "m" is available an m235i would work too...

BMW if you are listening this is your perfect opportunity to produce a car that is just "right".....a total stunner. I dont want gimmicks and rubbish ideas such as bimmerangs, bug eyed headlights, front wheel drive(!), stupid cupholders, misleading concept car versions, dashboard screens that look like an afterthought, brown steering wheels, tacky publicity and slooooow reveals. My 135i is nearly 5 years old and I'm yet to see anything that I like..... I just want a car that you get RIGHT that makes me go "here....have my money!!!"

Are you up to it??
