I wanna see a comparison of the 1M and the M235. I guess to make it evenly matched they would both have to be manual transmissions..

The M235i had almost a full tank of fuel and probably has better tires
The 435i had half a tank of gas So if the 435i didn't have either MPPK/MPPE and kept up like that hmmm interesting The M235i does seem more rev happy and most likely has an overboost feature How much do the drivers weigh? |

M235 is clearly faster, more powerful engine plus lighter car, no surprise

Interesting.
I cannot see the 3 and 4 series not having a sub M model for too long, especially if the M2 does come to reality. Why would you buy a 435i with performance upgrades when an M2 is going to be not that far off in price and the M235i is considerably cheaper and faster? Be interesting to see what F30 LCI and B series engines bring.... |

I believe the PPK which comes standard on the M235i optimizes engine revs and transmission shift points, which gives baby M a clear advantage here over the 435i stock n55. Frankly, I am surprised M235i didn't do better and really pull away after 2nd gear. Given this 435i performance in stock form, it appears that a 435i with PPK would have an advantage over the M235i and easily would walk away from it.

M235 seems to be a fun little car. A standard digital speed display would be nice in both car's instrument cluster.
