No, the stock wheels with 225s are 7.5". You need at least 8" wheels to fit 245s.

Oil change and front brake pads @ 41K. How exciting. At least my brake discs are lasting more than 1 pad change.

Had the tenth annual oil change today and learned that the motor mounts and thrust arm bushings have reached the ends of their lives. Considering taking the opportunity to install M2 thrust arms to go along with the M2 LCAs already onboard.

Ordered my M2 thrust arms with urethane bushings to fit directly on my 228i to go along with my older M2 LCAs. Source is Bimmerworld who sells the package with or without the LCAs. Great local dealer will take in these parts to do the installation.

Looks great, keeping close to the original BMM M Performance colour scheme of part painted.

Where did you buy the full kit. Front rear and side skirts, as looking to buy one this week for my F23 and concerned on quality and fit. OEM just too much really.
Thanks in advance.

Honestly, eBay!😂 you can pay a fortune, but you’ll still get stone chips, scrapes and dents, especially on the front splitter!

Only thing I’d do differently is spray some top coat on the original splitter/wing mirror caps to give them some more protection, but they were cheap enough that it’s not the end of the world!

Simple

Just a simple oil change that wasn’t simple. That oil filter cap is a bi_-tck to get off and on.
Got it done. I won’t do it again. Off to dealer next time.

What was the fit like. Seen what looks like very good copies on EBay. Just concerned over the fit.
I also intend to paint them.

Finally warm enough and a long weekend to put in the Konis. The first corner's in. Going to tackle the other 3 corners tomorrow... before the beer supply runs low.

No shortage of rust here.

Edit: 3 done, last one is halfway there. Doing fronts without using a spring compressor slows things down but it works.

Edit 2: Finished, going for test drive. PS: use an extension when fastening the top mount screw closest to the positive terminal or you'll get sparks.

basic procedure:
  • wiper blades to service (straight up)
  • pop plastic cap and remove nut from each wiper blade
  • mark blade position on spline (I drew a line across with sharpie)
  • pull wiper blades off spline
  • pop plastic rivet near each end of part
  • unlock the plastic cams (half turn ccw with allen key, forget the size)
  • remove old part
  • replacement is inverse
really nothing difficult with basic tools. no adhesives involved.

part I used was from ECS Tuning https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...d/51717240672/
