ZF8 Hard Downshift 3rd to 2nd after Fluid Change
Hi everyone!
54k miles on my F22 M235i xdrive. I recently had my local shop change the ZF8 fluid and pan along with the front and rear differential fluid. After the change, the transmission generally feels much smoother, except when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. It's not terrible, but it's jerking more than before. It happens in sport or comfort mode. Also happens when driving auto or manual. However, when driving auto, I feel it a bit more. Sometimes I will hear a clunk, but only in auto. Usually in auto it's a jolt. When downshifting using the paddles, it seems a bit better, but still noticeable. This leads me to believe it handles high RPM downshifts better than low. Upshifts from 2nd to 3rd are fine. Downshifts from 2nd to 1st are fine. What do you think? Is it normal? Or should I take it back to confirm they got the fluid levels right? Thank you!

I would check with them that they followed the correct process of filling it, then shifting manually through every gear and then filling it again
