You cant make this stuff up. I'm the "car guy" for everyone in the family, gawd help them all. I get a call today from sister in law.

"I have a message coming up on my car screen I dunno what it means the car seems to be running normal" "ok, whats the message"

"are, pee, emm, one times thousands" "what?? where does it say that?? spell it out for me"

"rpmx1000" "uh, did this 'message' come up on your rpm gauge?"

"whats an rpm gauge" "the big round dial that moves with the engine noise"

"yes! its lit up!" "isnt that there every day? it just shows what the gauge numbers mean"

"no it was never there before, its lit up" "when is the last time you drove the car at night?"

"I cant see to drive at night but I stayed out too late last night I had to put the headlights on" "and that is when you saw RPMx1000?"

"yes it was a new message lit up!" "that lights up at night, its nothing, dont worry about it"
