You could ask one of those coding-for-hire companies? Even if you don't pay them to do it, they could probably tell you if it was possible. Somebody posted recently about using one (http://www.codemycar.com/) DK if they are the best, but could probably tell you if it was possible.

Dipping mirror on reverse
Just sold an F10 and get 2 new ones, F20 and F22.
F10 & F22 do have dimming function, but F20 does not, which was disappointing for a brand new car. Been checking options via vin #'s on bummer.work, and can quickly tell it is not a standalone option, so must be part of a package. However, I can tell what it is "not" part of: No relation to: Seats (F10 had full electric + memory, F20 &F22 manual sport) Lighting Package (option 563) Sunroof Anti dazzle ext mirrors on F22 (opt 430) Msport package (337) Park control - front sensors (508) Backup camera (3AG) Also to add, F22 has folding mirror while the other 2 don't - Maybe opt 430 is only on that car, but who knows. Does my head in really. So to test (barring a defect), put car in reverse, then move mirror selection button on door armrest left then right (towards driver then away from driver), passenger side mirror should dip down then return to normal, if you had that option. |

I agree with shil, my wipers clear the hood just fine on both sides. It may be mine are slightly out of alignment allowing clearance or it may be others are slightly out of alignment preventing clearance. As with many things YMMV. My wife's Q5 is a completely different story as neither side comes close to clearing the hood. When I have some time I need to figure out how to stop them in a position that would allow them to hinge up for washing, etc. Probably need to spend some time on an Audi forum for that.

Say you are driving in snow/ice/rain/mess/whatever. There will be some buildup at the bottom of your windshield. You park your car outside and it continues to snow. When you want to drive away you will have your wipers probably frozen in at the bottom of the windshield if you don't put them up in service position. And they are so much easier to clean of ice too. This is explained somewhere in the VW/Audi manuals (I have a Golf and A3 - and both cars do this) RE: Q5 wipers - stop the engine - leave key in ignition - pull wiper stalk once (intermittent wiping) - wipers will go up in service position - remove key from ignition I think you have to do this right after you stop, or within a certain time limit after you stop the engine. This is how it works on the A3/Golf - i'm guessing it would be the same on the Q5 (no reason to be different, and cost-cutting is king anyway )

I have the driver assist package on my car, is there any way to enable parking sensors to turn on automatically? Looks like I have to press the parking assist button each time, the only time sensors turn on automatically is when car is in reverse.

The parking sensors in front do not work automatically on the 2 series, though they do on other series. Go figure. Another bit of German madness.

I don't understand why...the sensors are already there so why not enable it. Annoying that we have to remember to press the parking assist button each time.

I hear that new radar detectors are better about this; I have not yet put a detector in my 240.
