Awesome rims, compliments the Estoril perfectly.

That's one of two cosmetic changes I'm pondering. Now that the gunmetal OEM rims are off, the side mirrors tend to stand out a little more and I'm not sure I like it.

The other cosmetic change I'm pondering is black kidney grills, in keeping with the blue/black two-tone theme.

Go for it....defintitely a good look to combine BBS wheels, bodycolor mirror caps, and black grilles! Now you have me thinking about black wheels!

that's a wonderful color. Is that valencia orange? I love orange. I think just about anything would go well with that. But I will say that I do like how your window trim matches the color of the wheel. If you were to go black, I'd suggest changing that trim from silver to black as well!

Yes, Valencia, and you're reading my mind. I already learned that the bright trim is actually bonded to the rear side glass, so painting would be quite a bit of removal work. Have been thinking about a well-executed wrap, but that's someone with better skills than I have and I haven't found anyone in my area. It would want to be long single pieces to minimize seams!!

In that case I think a wrap is definitely the way to go. Good luck, I hope you find someone. That looks like a challenging job but it changes the look a lot, especially if you were to go black for your wheels.

I have Estoril and like the blue/black two tone theme. Body color mirrors, black underneath, Orbit grey rims which are close to black, black kidney grill, black exhaust tips , black and white porcelain license plate which is an option in my state and black front plate frame with black plate with blue/white BMW logo on it.

First day of spring, and I had the day off, so I took advantage of the "summer-like weather" (low 40's) and lack of precip to wash her off good. Probably just guaranteed the entire northeast will be in blizzard mode w/i the week, but still worth it.

Got my Carly adapter and downloaded the app to start some coding. Turned off the seatbelt warning, added the digital speedometer, turned off the headlight washers and enabled comfort close for mirrors and windows.

Do you have a full list of what the Carly app can do ... dvd in motion, disclaimer removal, brighter angle eyes, etc...?

It's all on their website. Some owners on the forum noted that certain coding is not available on newer '16+ models. I think it'll come in time though. Mine's a '14 and there were quite a few things to mess around with.

Last weekend I started with a small spring detail, these Minneapolis roads were very salty!

Then I added some goodies:
-Front Splitter
-Rear Diffuser
-CF Mirror Caps
-CF Trunk Spoiler

Finally, I photobombed a Ford Focus/Fiesta ST meet up to show off my new parts!

Front lip looks great. That is the one and only thing I hate about my BSM - all the M Performance goodies just get lost being black.

Thank you! It added a lot of character. I am really liking the matte black theme on the bottom trim pieces of my car (Front lip, side M Performance decals, rear diffuser and soon to be rims).

Pfft lol. I do plan on wrapping my front lower valance in matte to match the side decals and that should help quite a bit up front, but it is pretty hard to contrast with a black car in general. The front end is aggressive enough to give the keen eye a great visual of the fascia/features. The BSM paint w/ CF seems to go well together compared to a jet black. Having everything painted with the CF bits does stand out more than I thought prior to owning the car, but can't count how many have commented on those small details..

You can see with the sun hitting the car that the CF weave stands out quite a bit. Pictures never do justice but the mirrors and trunk spoiler do a lot more than what I'd expect from a visual perspective.. Now to scrape up $600 for the CF exhaust tips and I'm set to go, lol!

Oh I think it looks good no doubt about it. Just not nearly then bang for your buck compared to CF bits on white for example.

Ahh gotcha, and yea if I didn't get a great deal on the CPO I would have most likely gone with Mineral White, it's absolutely beautiful on these cars with all of the M bits.

On another note, today the car is one step closer to FBO status,

Dinan springs/bumps w/ M4 LCA's as well..

Before:

After:

So stoked, too bad it's not hitting the road for another 3-4 weeks

NICE! I am putting an AFE air scoop on this weekend, already have Dinan CF CAI. Will be doing the MPE for the stock diffuser shortly (keeping stock tips) and call it a day. Will be Stage 2 Dinan, Stage 2 Bavsound, some cosmetic bits here and there. Need to find a new project.

Actually most excited to get my new license plate mounted. The f*cking DMV is taking FOREVER to send it though. It's no longer listed as available so I assume I got it. BMWCCA plate 0002. Too bad I'm not in UAE I could sell the thing for millions to someone with more money than brains.

haha that's awesome! I plan to do the Dinan intake as well when one pops up in the classifieds, just to finish things off. I do kind of like the "sleeper" look when you look under the hood, though. "It's stock" lol, love messing with people that way..

And yes, after this wave of mods the future of the car goes towards track mods, like a set of Clubsport coilovers w/ proper camber adjustment, some bushing/mount upgrades and I'll call it a wrap. Then it's back to modding my racing simulator
