128i & 228i Comparison Picture
Though some would like to see this comparison picture since I had an opportunity to I took the shot.
Colors look very similar as well but the 2 series is a greener tint. |

the 1 has that classic look to it which is nice in the long run but now it just looks couple generations older than the 2 series

Funny I kind of feel the same way. The bubbly and boxy body cars tend to look good in 10-20+ years like the e30 and even e46 M3 where as the newer cars do the sharp angles. When I try to imagine them in 20 years I kind feel like some of them will end up looking unattractive like an old pointy Camaro or the Fox Body Mustangs looks to me.

I think the F22 looks like a slightly updated E90, which I still think is a good looking car. The only 3er that I think hasn't aged well is the LCI E46 with the up swept headlights. I never liked the soft, sweeping bottom of the outside bubble of the headlight. The E90 and F22 execute something similar but with much better execution.
