People's Reaction To Your M235i/228i.

I haven't seen this thread yet and thought it would be neat to make. What kind of reactions have you received from people seeing your 2 series? About a week ago I had a guy at a gas station say "Nice car man" and a girl in a parking lot say "Your car is beautiful". How about you guys? Do you notice people staring?

Is this an M3?
So what's a 2 series?
So it's not an M?
So why didn't you get a 435 instead?

I got a thumbs-up from a guy on a Ducati as we were driving on the freeway a couple of days ago, that's it so far.

So far in my first few weeks I've only gotten a thumbs up from a woman riding next to me in a new 3 series on my drive home from taking delivery, other than compliments from my coworkers.

Lots and lots of double takes!!!! Love it! I have also gotten a compliment at gas station and my coworkers all asked "What's an M235?"

I always catch other drivers in my rear view discreetly taking a picture of my car lol.. I have caught mostly other BMW owners admiring it because they are the only ones who truly appreciate it and even know what it is..

Have definitely gotten a few "very nice" comments. Although, I think part of that is due to the Valencia Orange shining in the Florida sun.

I work at tesla and the valet guy said a lot of ppl were stopping to look at my 2. That felt nice considering there's so many beautiful model S around me in the lot.

Reactions have been positive from nice car to folks doing a walk around and checking it out.

My number one repeat questions is "so you still liking your car" to which I reply "yeah, there is a lot to like about this car".

I don't think (without some modding) that the 2'er is that much of a looker or head turner to be honest. Not like a 6'er, some of the new MB designs, M4 etc...

One mans's very subjective opinion of course. It was the one pause I had before jumping in with 2 feet.

It's also the reason all of my mod $'s are going to aesthetics like wheels, carbon fiber trim etc..The car has plenty of performance for me...Needs some sexy.
