Very nice glad to see it finally arrive. Did it make it on the boat 2 weeks later?

Thanks! I had to wait until the weekend to break out the DSLR. Those camera phone shots unfortunately had to suffice until then. lol

Looks great! Nice to see no front license plate as well. Mine arrived Cali on Monday. How long did it take from Cali to Oahu? I ordered in April. Production only started July since its a 2015. 3 months is not bad. Hehe

BMW of Honolulu use Pasha to ship. They leave Cali every two weeks on Wednesdays. They arrive at Honolulu Harbor on Mondays. I'm on Maui so I had to wait another day for the ship to reach Kahului Harbor. Pasha has only one ship, the Jean Anne. You can track it online using MarineTraffic.com

Good luck!

Thanks guys! I'll take more shots within the next few weeks. I have my Canon 60D with Tokina 12-22mm F4 wide angle and Canon 70-200mm F4L (non-IS) telephoto standing by...

I may head up the mountain this weekend to the Haleakala Crater. 10,000 feet up and lots of bendy road bits.

Ah ok thanks, I didn't even notice that. Reason I ask is my wife's 228 m sport was ordered 4 weeks ago, and it just went into production today at 6am. So I'm just wondering why there are delays..

Actually, it just took three months because of the transit from California to Hawaii. (I bought the plate online and found a replacement replica registration sticker from the Munich area) The European Delivery cars would have had the orange temporary plates.

Anyways, here's another angle of the car. That road is pretty fun to drive on, but the bends are narrow and commonly single-laned.

A BMW in white looks very cool. Can wait to get mine, it is not in production yet though!! Do you have manual or power seats? Could you send a pic? Just curious since I didn't add the power front seats option.
thanks!

PJGP13, here ya go. The front lever adjusts the height and the rear lever adjusts the recline. There's a little handle that sticks out on the right side of the front of the seat. Pull it like any other sliding forward/backward adjustment.

I'll say it's better than I had thought they'd be. It feels like you have a wider range of selectable "clicks" than your traditional seating positions. The only problem I see is when really tall or heavy friends require adjustments in the passenger seat... They have a hard time raising the seat height if they lower it too low. You really have to rise up from your seat to let it sort of "spring up".

Just FYI, since you're getting an M-sport, the sport seats have an additional manual adjustment on the side in the front of the panel. it adjusts basically the angle of the seating surface. the middle one adjusts the height of the seat, the back the backrest. but it's this front one that can make the seat angle very steep, i.e. edge of seat much higher than your rear, or very flat. this is one of the amazing features of the BMW sport seats in my opinion, as I like them flat. the non-sport seats have a standard angle that really cannot be adjusted.
