Winter wheels?
I know it's only spring but it's never too early to start preparing for next winter. It looks like the 2 series has approx the same offsets as the 1 series, so hopefully some of those wheels will fit. For my current VW GTI, I bought ASA aftermarket wheels from Tire Rack, but the finish left a lot to be desired. Within several years, they are all corroded and I had to paint them. When I had my E36 M3, I was able to buy a set of M3 Contour wheels used and never had a problem with them. There look like a lot of people selling used 1 series wheels. For winter, i am thinking 17". I have a 228 MSport coming with standard brakes. Hopefully the 1 series 17" wheels will fit. Thoughts?

On the 1 series forum, there are a few people selling BMW wheels. If they are in your area, that might be the way to go. I have aftermarket alloy wheels for my winter tires on a VW GTI, and the finish was not very durable. OEM wheels are much better.
