Catch all 2 Series news and updates @ http://www.bimmerpost.com/2-series/ And how about a US spec Valencia Orange M235i? The "235" listed under power is 235kw, which equals 315hp (same power as current M135i hatchback). Here are spy photos of the M235i, from http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=782150 |

As Audi released the A3 SB and a Sedan version will follow, also Mercedes released the new CLA (attractive only with 4matic) I really hope that this new 2 series will be a much more enthusiast addressed car!

-2vf adaptiv m suspension So sold on a M235i... is the US version Xdrive only though? It's between this and the new A3 sportback for me so they need to hurry up and show it! |

I think this is another opportunity for me to point out that these entries only tell us what vehicles BMW is testing - not which ones they are actually going to put into production. |

As the first post says:
* Note: the list may not be comprehensive or up-to-date and info has not been verified by BMW. I'm sure we'll see an M235i with 6 speed manual.

does anyone know if the DCT will be available, or is that offical dead for the 2er... really did not like the 8-speed ZF unit I drove a couple months ago, and I'm hoping that the dual clutch will at least be an priced option.

This is interesting--thanks for sharing.
One thing I am wondering about is timing. My 135 lease ends on December 10--obviously these babies won't be on this side of the pond by then. Not really sure what I am going to do as a result... There isn't any other car in the BMW lineup that I would consider right now, so if the timing doesn't work out for me, might have to deviate from the brand a bit... I am also not blown away with the N55. I had an N54 6MT for a couple of years, and am in a N55 DCT now. The current car just doesn't do it for me--it doesnt feel nearly as powerful as my old N54. It also uses more oil...I was hoping for a new engine option on the 235/M235.... We shall see..

The M235i specs show production starts November, so it might be here in US by January. |

anyone feel like me that bmw now has too many options and after 5 years all these new models including all the "series" will be on pre-owned certified lots and everyone will be buying a bmw.
10 yrs ago having a bmw was "wow" seems like in 5 years only having a austin martin or ferrari will be a "wow" sad how a $80,000 m3 will be compared to a $30,000 320i ![]() |
