I hope it does NOT look like the f30/2 although its probably inevitable.

And those grills are huge. Want something small and sleek!

For what it's worth, I spent two hours with a BMW PR guy at the Detroit Auto Show last week. One of things we talked about was the whole headlights-blending-into-the-grill thing on the 3er. I told him I didn't really care for that design cue. He said it was done to differentiate the 3er and 4er from the 5er and give them their own faces. Anyway, we briefly talked about the 2er. He was kind of coy and didn't want to reveal much, but he said something like, "You know how you don't like ze headlights into ze grill on the 3? You vill like ze 2 much better, zen..." and he smiled. I, obviously, took that to mean that the headlights would not blend into the grill. Just throwing that out there...

This would be a significant positive. Boo for front light kidney mashups. Yay for the 2 series. Possibly. Heh.

Disappointing... So many ugly BMW models.

All they need to do is copy the E46 and sell a million of them. Why is it so hard for them?

So is a 2 series like between the size of a 1 and 3? and the 4 series will be between the size of a 3 and 5 series?

The 2 will be essentially the same size as the F20 Hatch, and its the same for the 4 and the F30. Any difference in size will be very slight, and it will just be because of the body work. Not an increase in wheelbase.

Just think of the 2-Series as a replacement for the 1-Series Coupe, and the 4-Series as a replacement for the 3-Series Coupe.

Aw man. Well, can you tell us more about it? Is it supposed to be an accurate depiction based on info you have, or is it based on what you speculate it will look like?

Any info is appreciated!!

Gotcha. Thanks for the teaser, and all the great work you do on your renderings. Can't wait to see the final version
