HELP! Locked Keys in Trunk.... Stranded...
So somehow I managed to lock both sets of keys in the trunk. I do have the valet key on me to get in the cabin, but obviously the inside trunk release isn't working Does anyone know any tricks short of tearing my rear seats apart? Thanks in advance guys!

You can't use the unlock button in the center console to open the trunk ?

How does one lock BOTH sets of keys in the trunk? If you have comfort access, you should be able to still open doors/trunk lid, so I'm guessing you don't have that option. What about the trunk-open button down on the kick panel on the driver's side? If you had BMW Connected Drive, you can get BMW Assist to unlock everything or use the Connected Drive app to do the same. Short of that, you may need dealership assistance.

Getting a tow... Dealer is telling me that I need a new $300 fob to get back into the trunk.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram? I am thinking that if I apply 12v to the central locking system, it should reset and allow me into the trunk, but I have no idea what color to splice into. Thoughts from any electrical engineers out there? |

Call BMW Assist at 800-332-4269. They have an unlock function.

Removing the rear seats is a piece of cake. Simply pull up the seats and they come off. The rear backrest is held in with two Torx T45 screws and then it just comes off too.

Send a PM to the Saab guy in the other thread, I think he said the dealer got in and it didn't cost $300. I locked mine in the trunk but fortunately my wife brought me my other key.

For a time, Comfort Access was programmed so that it would pop the trunk open if it detected a key in the trunk area. Does anyone know why and when that changed?
