M240i 6MT clutch slipping on launch

Hey guys, so ever since I got my 2017 M240i (59k miles when i bought it, it’s at 74k now), i have always had trouble launching without slipping or burning the clutch (ESPECIALLY with other people in the car and more weight). I’ve heard that the launch control in sport + is supposed to kick in at ~3kRPM but i’ve never had that work for me so i’ve tried to always launch my car at 2.5k ish. which usually works but if i go any higher than that or if i have other people in the car it always slips and burns on launches.

I now have bm3 stage 2 on my car and last night i tried launching and drifting with my friends and i could smell burnt clutch after the second launch. i did have 2 other people in the car. So im wondering if my clutch is just at the end of its life and i need to replace it or if thats how stock clutches are and if i need a performance clutch?

Sounds like your clutch is going and you're helping it along the way with stage 2 and launch control. Please don't take this as criticism as it sounds like you're fine with driving in a sporting manner and accept the fact that doing so may shorten the normal lifespan of various components of your car. If you plan to keep pushing the performance envelope then a heavier duty / performance clutch is a good idea if available. My M235 6MT is stock and while I'll drive in a spirited way at times, I've not chosen to push my car that hard so my clutch is still in great shape. As they say, different strokes for different folks.
