Waiting is made worse but the fact that I haven't needed a car in a while and the Saab convertible that I bought to drive around town scares me. Last thing I want is for the damn thing to break and require repair while I am waiting for my 235. Fingers crossed!

Ah good luck! If you have good standing with your dealership, if your car breaks down they might give you a temporary loaner I know they did for another member on here but he was British. Even though it seems stupid sometimes asking is the best policy.

I would absolutely do that but I ordered the car in Philadelphia and the Saab is in Chicago. I have done that in the past though. Brother ordered the new 911 cabrio that was coming out 6 months after his C4S lease was up and they gave him a preowned Panamera to drive for free, dad is doing the same thing while waiting for his Macan and got a Cayenne. Just got to wait and take it easy on the Saab I am afraid. Been a good car for what it is, just scares me at this point. Had an S4 and the big diesel Touareg before that. Live in the city and drive less than 50 miles per week so the cheap fun convertible fit the bill at the time.

Wow dealer told me production scheduled for first week in April. Logged in this morning to my BMW and looks like production is starting this week, at least production starts is highlighted on the timeline.
Just called the 1-800 number. Vehicle is in production with est completion Date of March 25. I only ordered on the 8th. Wow, that's fast.

Just ordered my M235i last week (March 8th). When would be an appropriate time to start calling the dealership to see if they have a production number yet?

There is actually more of a delay if it comes into Charleston though. If you guys are curious, I used this guide, it's a little dated but for vehicle tracking its rather good. |

Once I receive a production number, at that point should it mean I have a production week assigned to me?
