N20 Timing Chain: Sleeping better at night
My 2015 228ix only has 30k but I was worried about the timing chain failure, because I worry about stuff that makes no sense.
I had the dealer use a bore scope and the chain was perfect and the guides looked great. This cost $175 but was worth the stress reduction since my car was made on 2/15 which is the cutoff for the new chain.

To be fair, mine was giving up the ghost when I bought the car at 47k miles.
The earlier N20 timing system is not robust.
