BBS CI-R wheel & tire size advice needed
I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of BBS CI-Rs but I'm a little concerned with the offsets. The specs are 19x8 et45 front and 19x9 et 48 rear. For tires they suggested 255/30-19 as the widest to go in the rear & 225/35-19 on the front.
My concern is that with the high offset in the front I'll be left with the wheels sunken in by about 10mm. I know I can add a 5mm spacer but that still leaves 5mm, and anything above 5mm and below 15 won't work properly. Any advice? Should I consider another set of wheels with a more appropriate offset? I thought of going with a 235 in front to bridge the gap but I'm unsure if it will rub or contact the suspension. FYI I'm lowered on dinan springs with stock alignment. http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1235280 Last week I wanted to buy these rims, but as you said the ET are not optimal. The ET problem can be solved with some spacers but the wheels will not be concave at all. And I think that with this model it is very important. I ordred another model of rims, but don't forget to post pics if you buy them. The stance will be almost the same as this, it has Front : 19x8ET45 Rear : 19x9ET50 : With 5mm spacer on the front you will not have problems. Last week, I did some test with 19x8.5ET35 235/35/19 (the rims are 1.3mm closer to the suspension) and it was fine. |
