The video clip of the m235i in Las Vegas with the performance exhaust was enough to sell me.
Definitely want the black grilles and the spoiler.

I thought the MPerf kit was available from launch March 8th UK? No doubt perhaps not all will be available immediately, I think I read that the LSD stock was not there yet?

Some parts already are, according to my dealership. They were showing only the basic things though, such as the shifter and dead pedal.
The LSD, suspension, exhaust were nowhere to be seen. I called BMW North America since I want LSD for my car, and their response is that they did not know.

This is the short list of M Performance parts available at this time, per the CA I am working with on my M235i.
*** Carbon Fiber Spoiler *** Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps *** Stainless Steel Pedals *** BMW Electronic Steering Wheel *** M Performance Steering Wheel *** Carbon Fiber Selector Lever I so want the LOOK of the M Performance version from the Las Vegas Press showing. Mainly exterior cosmetic, and exhaust. The lack of available dates of these parts are swaying my decision to just go ahead and order an "Off the Shelf" M235i for August ED. Do a two year lease. Then plan for the M Performance M235i in the future. I do have a couple of months to cross my fingers that the parts I REALLY want become available. I am just not interested in piece-milling it. Wouldn't get to enjoy the M Performance parts in Europe any way. |

What was the lapse between 4 series deliveries and when performance parts were available?

At least, not the ones that matter.. (such as exhaust, ppk, LSD) "Model-specific BMW M Performance Parts available from the beginning of 2014" http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=876754

If I got a M235i, I just priced my M Performance options as a base from the current 3 series pricing from here: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=783743
I had to estimate the carbon fibre spoiler (est $600) and I came away with a US$16,760 price tag. That'll be AU$25,000 by the time BMW Australia is done with it. I had front splitter, rocker attachments, carbon spoiler, diffuser, kidney grills, mirror caps, exhaust, pedal covers, electronic wheel, interior trim, brake handle, gear selector, suspension, wheels and brakes. Just helps with the decision to wait for the M2. If only it wasn't an I4 the wait might be pleasant. |
