Sorry, this shows my ignorance regarding automatics.
Never owned one in 40 years of driving!
If you're using cruise control with a manual, there will be no rpm change when changing modes between Sport and Comfort. Didn't realize that changing modes with an automatic while in cruise will change gears... ugh.
You can also do the ASD test in your driveway. Get rpms to 2000 or so and switch modes.
