Not sure on the other options. I've opted for the Technic harness which physically isolates the ASD module from the speakers. Others have reported that disabling it via coding turns off the ASD sound, but leaves it in the path, which leaves the audio anomalies the ASD module generates present. I'd go with the harness. Easy way to check is to get on the highway, set the cruise at a set speed, 60mph perhaps? Then switch back and forth between comfort and sport, you should be able to hear the ASD kick in, even though there's no change in engine RPMs.
