you def need a trim pry tool. Getting it back in was slightly difficult as I think I bent it a little when taking it out. Gently bent the arms back towards the wheel a little then placed it back and it went in fine. There are two little nibs on the top that have to REALLY be pushed in and pressure maintained as you put the rest of the clips in down to the bottom.
