I understand that bimmer fans really dislike everything that has FWD and dosen't look like a 3 series sedan. But still, if you are a plumber, painter or electrician you might find a car like that not practical. A van would be more suitable and when spent many hours in a car every working day, who could blame them from wanting a premium van. Seems to me it would be smart of BMW to use the UKL platform and make a car that meets their needs. Almost all major brands has a van in some way and it doesn't damage their image, so why should BMW not try to enter this market now when they have a suitable platform.
