The price difference now is definitely not as attractive as when the MY2016 M2 MSRP was $61K in Canada.

Is there still a LSD option for the M240i? I would say that even if not tracking the car, have a LSD makes for a fun drive on the road. Is that part of the loaded $54K price?

If not, that would get the prices closer again...but the wait / lead time is killer I totally agree.
There is an option for a LSD for the M240i. It is about 3500$ from what I remember. The MY2017 now have a starting msrp of 63000$ you can add few things on top and you are well above 64000$. I get the point of the M2 but on Canadian roads filled with potholes not sure you can really push the M2 enough to make it justify the 10000$ difference with the M240i. That said if the can increase the output of the M2 with the LCI while keeping the same price I might change my mind. A B58 with 390ish hp and 550nm would be killer.
So far I've been to find some decent back country roads around Dundas/Hamilton/Kitchener. Not like a track or even close to pushing the M2 anywhere near it's limit...but the car is phenomenal! Brings a huge smile to my face driving it...
I'm sure of that! The only thing is that the m2 doesn't have the savage side that the 1M had which made it unique compared with the 135i. So i'm wondering if the M2 smile is 10000$ larger than the M240i smile. Again there i'm talking about street usage there is no comparaison for track use the M2 is far supperior.
